Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pound Mcgee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Guzman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mcgee's entrance music is Scorpions - Rock You Like A Hurricane. A fine choice. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Mcgee scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Mcgee moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Guzman shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Mcgee counters with a three punch combo that has Guzman backing up. Guzman nods at Mcgee to acknowledge the strikes.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Mcgee stands up from half guard.
Mcgee lands a leg kick that knocks Guzman off balance momentarily.
Guzman is trying desperately to land a takedown but Mcgee is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Guzman.

Mcgee connects with a good right hand that stumbles Guzman. Guzman circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Mcgee shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Guzman's guard.
Mcgee gets to his feet - Guzman follows without any prompting.
Mcgee lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Both fighters circling a little - Mcgee finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Mcgee drops Guzman with a right and a left! Mcgee comes rushing in but Guzman regains his composure and manages to keep Mcgee in guard.
Guzman is still in real trouble! Can Mcgee finish him?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mcgee stands up from Guzman's guard - Mcgee perhaps looking for a knockout.

Guzman seems to have recovered his senses.

Mcgee gets to his feet. Guzman looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Guzman has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Mcgee.
A chopping leg kick lands by Mcgee.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Mcgee throws a one two combo.
Guzman throws a wild hook but Mcgee just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Guzman gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Mcgee raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pound Mcgee!
After the fight, Pound Mcgee was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
