Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bryan Bishop!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Little Mac!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Leandro Rodrigues and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bishop shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bishop showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Mac really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bishop. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bishop takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Mac is looking for a sweep. Bishop is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Bishop is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bishop seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Mac for as long as he can get away with.
Mac on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Bishop has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bishop connects with a nice short shot to Mac's temple.
Bishop is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Bishop has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Mac tries to bum rush Bishop with a series of wild strikes but Bishop uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Bishop passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Bryan Bishop overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Mac enables Bishop to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mac manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Bishop lands a big shot to the head and Mac winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
