The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ishikawa tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cheddars swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ishikawa will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Cheddars is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Cheddars jumps into guard, dragging Ishikawa to the mat.
Ishikawa distracts Cheddars with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Cheddars is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
