The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Delim misses with a combination
and McManus decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Delim's guard. Delim seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Delim knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McManus on the ground. Delim is working an open guard so McManus takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. McManus leaves Delim with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Delim throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Delim shoots in looking for a takedown. McManus tries to sprawl out of it but Delim keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McManus manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Delim tries to clinch up but McManus circles away and keeps his distance. Delim fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marlon Delim. That's going to take a lot out of him. McManus looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Delim!
That's one minute gone in the round. Delim defending against the ground and pound. McManus in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Delim is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
