Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Chance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Greene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Chance! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kevin Greene! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Alyssa Summers and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Greene misses with a double jab.
Chance could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Greene shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Chance as he jumps to the side. Greene tries to clinch but Chance moves out of range. Chance wants to clinch. Chance leaves Greene with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Chance darts in and clinches Greene up against the cage. Chance prevents Greene from breaking the clinch. Greene is looking to break free of the clinch but Chance has double underhooks. Chance tries to stall but Greene uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Chance escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Chance stuffs the takedown. John Chance has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Greene.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chance throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Chance tries to clinch but Greene is having none of it. Horrible takedown by Greene or perhaps it was just good defense by Chance which made him look bad. A jab from Chance misses. Greene fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Chance avoids it really well and circles away. Chance shoots for a takedown but Greene saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Greene drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chance working a defensive guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Chance is breathing heavily. Chance keeping moving, preventing Greene from controlling successfully. Chance tries to land a sweep but no joy. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Greene looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Kevin Greene hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Greene gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Greene wants to take the fight to the mat but Chance manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Chance is looking to break free of the clinch but Greene has double underhooks. Greene is stalling here.

Horrible takedown by Chance or perhaps it was just good defense by Greene which made him look bad. Chance darts in and clinches Greene up against the cage. Chance is trying to pull guard but Greene turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Greene is trying to drag Chance to the mat but Chance just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Greene wants to break the clinch but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chance managing to block the knees to the body from Greene.

Greene has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Chance is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Greene wants a takedown but no success here.
Chance breaks the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Greene throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chance's waist but Chance gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Greene off to one side. Greene shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Chance as he avoids it easily. Chance drives through with a takedown into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that John Chance will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Chance fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Chance closes this distance looking for a takedown but Greene circles away. Greene is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Greene tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Greene fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Chance shoots in and bounces Greene off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Greene is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Chance is controlling him. Greene working a defensive guard here.
Chance has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Greene looking for subs off his back but Chance has passed one foot through into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Greene is trying to control the position but Chance postures up. Greene looking to hit a scissor sweep but Chance is one step ahead there. Chance got a little sloppy there for a moment and Greene has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Chance has managed to get both his arms back between Greene's legs - danger averted.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chance trying to control but Greene is working from the bottom. Greene working a defensive guard here.
Greene tries to land a sweep but no joy. Chance has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Greene is proving hard to escape from. Chance might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Greene kicks Chance off and gets to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chance rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Greene moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Chance leaves Greene with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Greene is looking to clinch. Chance fails with an attempt to clinch.
Greene throws a sloppy head kick and Chance moves out of range easily. Greene shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Chance pinned against the cage. Chance gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. John Chance has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Greene. Chance shoots in and drives through. Greene sprawls well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Greene pushes Chance up against the cage in a clinch. Greene drags the fight down to the ground.
Greene trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Greene tries to land a sweep but no joy. Greene keeping full guard, as Chance tries to pass. Kevin Greene has got the better of the ground game so far. Chance is looking to work some ground and pound but Greene has wrist control. Chance avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Greene trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kevin Greene showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Greene changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chance tries to avoid it but Greene manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chance to the ground. Chance escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. John Chance has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Greene. Greene closes the distance and clinches up with Chance, looking for a takedown. Greene pushes Chance against the cage but Chance circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Chance stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Chance fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Greene sprawls well initially but Chance persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Chance seems to be looking for submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chance seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Greene regains full guard. Nicely done. Greene keeping full guard, as Chance tries to pass. Greene is trying to keep Chance in close.
Chance missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Greene looking for a sweep. Not yet Greene, not yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Greene looking to control.
Greene is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Chance gets to his feet - Greene follows without any prompting. Greene tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chance swats him away and circles back towards the center. No luck for Greene with that takedown attempt. Greene has managed to clinch.
Chance drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Greene is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Greene throws an elbow that misses.
Greene changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Chance fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Greene gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Chance being controlled here momentarily. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Chance looking to pass the guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to John Chance. I think Chance has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
