Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Chance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Greene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Alyssa Summers and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greene misses with a double jab.
Chance could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Greene shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Chance as he jumps to the side.
Greene tries to clinch but Chance moves out of range.
Chance wants to clinch.
Chance leaves Greene with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Chance darts in and clinches Greene up against the cage.
Chance prevents Greene from breaking the clinch.
Greene is looking to break free of the clinch but Chance has double underhooks.
Chance tries to stall but Greene uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Greene throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chance's waist but Chance gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Greene off to one side.

That was a close round but I would say that John Chance will probably get the nod.

Greene is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Greene closes the distance and clinches up with Chance, looking for a takedown. Greene pushes Chance against the cage but Chance circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Chance stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Chance fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Greene sprawls well initially but Chance persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Chance seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to John Chance.
