Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Karanova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Kalid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Victor Kalid!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karanova fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Kalid misses with a low kick as Karanova jumps back.
Kalid leaves Karanova with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Karanova gets a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Karanova is taking a breather. Kalid says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Karanova is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Kalid is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
