Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Ellis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kesigan St Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ellis comes to the cage accompanied by Out Of Space by Prodigy. St Pierre has chosen aint no sunshine as his entrance music. Kesigan St Pierre has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Ellis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kesigan St Pierre!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Ellis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Ellis fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging St Pierre to the ground. Ellis is now in St Pierre's guard.

Ellis drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ellis jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

St Pierre working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ellis doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ellis manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
St Pierre keeping moving, preventing Ellis from controlling successfully.
Ellis throwing strikes from guard but St Pierre blocks nicely.
St Pierre really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ellis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ellis avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Ellis trying to control the position from guard on top but St Pierre is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ellis passes St Pierre's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Ellis is keen to just control but St Pierre is a slippery customer.
Ellis moves nicely into side control.
Ellis has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Ellis wants to control the pace but St Pierre is squirming around nicely.
Ellis landing strikes from the mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ellis is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. St Pierre can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
St Pierre takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ellis looking to finish St Pierre with some ground and pound. This is bad for St Pierre!

Ellis with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Ellis! St Pierre is hurt baaadly! Ellis is firing away with more strikes - St Pierre is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Ellis!
