Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mark Noguera! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dan The Drunk! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Micheangelo Fripello and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Noguera connects with a single shot there. The Drunk circles away from the clinch attempt.
Noguera dips to his left and cracks The Drunk with an uppercut! Noguera fails with an attempt to clinch.
Noguera is looking to clinch. Noguera lands with a straight right. The Drunk didn't see that one coming. Noguera throws a one two combo.
A punch lands to the side of The Drunk 's head but he takes it in his stride. Noguera sizes up The Drunk with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Noguera lands a lovely overhand right. Noguera lands a jab-cross combination. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Noguera fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. The Drunk looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. The Drunk avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Noguera really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Noguera lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Noguera connects with a right hand. The Drunk shakes it off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Noguera stalks The Drunk and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into The Drunk's face. The Drunk staggers backwards, shaken. Mark Noguera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The Drunk takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Noguera cracks The Drunk with an open hand slap. Noguera lands a right hook to the body.
Noguera scores with a sloppy right hand. The Drunk should have avoided that one. Noguera tries to clinch there but The Drunk circles away.
Noguera connects with a body shot. Noguera tries to clinch so The Drunk counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. The Drunk controlling from the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. It looks like The Drunk might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. The Drunk pushing down on Noguera's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. The Drunk keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Noguera is breathing heavily.
Dan The Drunk has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Noguera displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Noguera tries to clinch up. Noguera defends well against a solid takedown attempt from The Drunk. Noguera moves into range and clinches up with The Drunk. Noguera misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Noguera tries to break free but The Drunk pushes him back against the cage. Noguera is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Noguera doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Noguera goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Noguera throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Noguera is trying to break free. The Drunk has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Noguera after a bit of a struggle. Mark Noguera has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan The Drunk. A nice left hand lands by Noguera.

Noguera is trying to maintain a safe position but The Drunk gets an underhook and turns Noguera into the cage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Noguera is trying to break free. The Drunk has Noguera pressed against the cage, preventing Noguera from circling away and getting back to striking at range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Noguera wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. The fighters circle momentarily. Noguera darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Noguera scores with a nice strike. Noguera throws a combination. The Drunk tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Noguera tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but The Drunk paws at him with a jab and circles away. Mark Noguera is winning the standup battle so far. Noguera connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. The Drunk pivots, looking for a leg kick but Noguera is out of range and The Drunk settles back down. Noguera lands with a nice body punch. Noguera scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. The Drunk doesn't seem bothered though. The Drunk walks into a left hand. The Drunk gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Noguera. Noguera lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. The Drunk has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Noguera finds it's way round the side to connect with The Drunk's head.

Noguera leaves The Drunk with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. The Drunk gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Noguera. Noguera tries to clinch but The Drunk is having none of it. The Drunk has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Noguera fails to land with a series of punches.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Noguera changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Noguera lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Noguera. The Drunk throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Noguera's waist but Noguera gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing The Drunk off to one side.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The Drunk takes a jab right on the kisser.
Noguera is looking to clinch but The Drunk is avoiding it.
Noguera connects with a body shot that sends The Drunk's belly button to the back. The Drunk gets the takedown into side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The referee asks The Drunk politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. The Drunk prefers to stall for the moment though. The Drunk is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Noguera looks calm but he's in trouble here. The Drunk gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Noguera is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! The Drunk lets go of the hold and Noguera can pop his arm back in it's socket.
