Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Terry Cheese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marek Kanarek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Terry Cheese has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 24 - 1, fighting out of London, Terry Cheese! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Marek Kanarek! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Richard Clark and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cheese feints and as Kanarek raises his hands in defense, Cheese changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Cheese trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Kanarek wants to stand and escape but Cheese is having none of it. Cheese trying to control the position from guard on top but Kanarek is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Terry Cheese just wasn't active enough. Cheese closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Cheese throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Kanarek to regain full guard. Kanarek is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Cheese slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cheese's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Cheese slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Cheese slows the pace down.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cheese wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kanarek keeps working.
Terry Cheese has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Kanarek cracks Cheese with an open hand slap. A punch combination from Kanarek misses. Cheese tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kanarek swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kanarek slips a straight right by Cheese. Kanarek throws a nice looking combination but Cheese bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kanarek scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. A left and a right from Kanarek both land. Nice combination. Kanarek throws a sloppy head kick and Cheese moves out of range easily. Cheese blocks the body kick.
Cheese scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Kanarek stops Cheese from passing to mount. Cheese controlling from side mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cheese tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cheese has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kanarek stops Cheese from passing to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Terry Cheese dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Cheese throws a combination that misses and Kanarek counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Cheese manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kanarek on his heels. He'll look to pass Kanarek's guard now, I'm sure. Cheese tries to free his leg and advance position but Kanarek is retaining full guard. Kanarek is looking to stand up but Cheese isn't so interested in that idea. Cheese controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

That's one minute gone in the round. Cheese on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Cheese drives through with a takedown into Kanarek's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Terry Cheese overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Cheese wants to control from the top but Kanarek keeps moving. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Terry Cheese wasn't doing enough on the ground. Kanarek just misses with a punch to the body.
Kanarek lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cheese circles away quickly and effectively. Cheese closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kanarek takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Cheese blocks a head kick by Kanarek.
Kanarek avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Cheese fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Cheese tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kanarek paws at him with a jab and circles away. Cheese tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kanarek misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kanarek thuds a left hand into Cheese's body. Kanarek throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cheese. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kanarek throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Kanarek lands a jab-cross combination. Kanarek swinging wildly here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cheese misses with a body shot.
Cheese gets a clinch. Cheese tries to pull guard but Kanarek holds him up against the cage and eventually Cheese drops back down to his feet.
Cheese can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Terry Cheese. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cheese jumps guard but Kanarek turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Cheese tries for a takedown but Kanarek manages to get underhooks.
Cheese has Kanarek pressed against the cage, preventing Kanarek from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Cheese ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Cheese no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cheese tries to land a sweep but no joy. Cheese is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kanarek is aware though and is defending well. Cheese pulls Kanarek in close to his closed guard and prevents Kanarek from doing any damage or advancing position. Cheese looking for a sweep. Not yet Cheese, not yet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Marek Kanarek. Kanarek lands a slapping body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Terry Cheese dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Kanarek throws a sloppy head kick and Cheese moves out of range easily. Cheese takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Cheese throws a right and a left that both miss. Kanarek is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Cheese rather than just go for the knockout. Cheese shoots in and gets a takedown into Kanarek's guard. Cheese is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Cheese passes Kanarek's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Kanarek is trying to stand up here but Cheese is controlling him well. Cheese perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Cheese tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kanarek knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cheese seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
We're going to have a standup here because Terry Cheese wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Cheese tries to close the distance and clinch but Kanarek swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Cheese is looking to clinch. Cheese avoids a punch combination nicely.
Cheese tries to clinch but fails miserably and Kanarek counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Cheese thinking. Kanarek changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Cheese shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kanarek sprawls well. Kanarek wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cheese gets slowly back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kanarek defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cheese. Kanarek lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Cheese backs up against the cage.

Cheese shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Cheese is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Cheese might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cheese trying to control but Kanarek is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cheese controls from within his opponent's guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Terry Cheese. Cheese manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kanarek on his heels. He'll look to pass Kanarek's guard now, I'm sure. Cheese trying to control the position from guard on top but Kanarek is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kanarek really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cheese. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Cheese eats them both and turns towards Kanarek to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Kanarek keeps the fight on the outside. Cheese tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kanarek manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Kanarek throws a low kick, looking for Cheese's leg but Cheese calmly moves out of range. Kanarek throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Cheese stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Kanarek moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Kanarek takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Kanarek misses with a wild combination.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kanarek throws a right hand that Cheese ducks under and follows up with a left that Cheese also avoids with ease. Marek Kanarek has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Terry Cheese is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Kanarek throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cheese.
And that's the end of the fight! Terry Cheese showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cheese, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
