Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ian Macdonald!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeff Hecker!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jorge Garcia and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hecker displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Macdonald.

Macdonald moves into the clinch.

Macdonald jumps guard and drags Hecker to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Hecker looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Macdonald with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

I've got Hecker winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
