Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dante Ascanio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Niila Joikhaaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ascanio comes to the cage accompanied by Otis Taylor / Ten Million Slaves. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dante Ascanio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Niila Joikhaaja!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Ascanio lands an impressive looking overhand right. Joikhaaja doesn't seem phased though.
It looks like Niila Joikhaaja has been cut.
Joikhaaja is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ascanio sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Joikhaaja fails in his attempt to clinch.
Joikhaaja shoots in but Ascanio avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Ascanio chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Ascanio lands a nice looking body shot.
Joikhaaja misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Dante Ascanio has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Niila Joikhaaja.
Joikhaaja fails to land the takedown.
Joikhaaja closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ascanio circles away.
Ascanio lands with a nice body punch.
Joikhaaja gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Ascanio cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Joikhaaja fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ascanio cracks Joikhaaja with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Ascanio feints and then cracks Joikhaaja's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Joikhaaja down.
Joikhaaja changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ascanio tries to avoid it but Joikhaaja manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ascanio to the ground. Ascanio escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ascanio lands with a hook. Joikhaaja tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Joikhaaja gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Ascanio counters with a straight right hand.
Joikhaaja is rocked!
Ascanio fakes the body blow, causing Joikhaaja to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Joikhaaja goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Dante Ascanio!
A relieved looking Dante Ascanio thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
