Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scott Robertson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Austin Duran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duran has chosen Still Fly as his entrance music. Austin Duran is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scott Robertson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Austin Duran!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duran throws a series of punches but Robertson moves out of range.

Robertson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Robertson lands strikes from half guard.
Robertson trying to pass the guard but Duran defending well.
Robertson is nestled in close to Duran, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Robertson missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Robertson wants to control but Duran is keeping him busy.
Robertson is really struggling to control Duran but he's trying to hold on to the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Robertson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Robertson sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Duran defending well though.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Robertson connects with a nice short shot to Duran's temple.
Duran wants to improve his position but Robertson is controlling well.
Duran is staying active underneath Robertson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Duran is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Robertson jumps into side control!

Duran tries to escape but Robertson is in control.

Duran is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Duran takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Robertson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Robertson advances nicely into full mount.
Robertson looking to finish Duran with some ground and pound. This is bad for Duran!

Duran gets back to half guard.
Duran is looking to improve his position.
Duran looks gassed!
Robertson moves nicely into side control.

Robertson lands with a punch from half guard.
Robertson is looking to take a break and control but Duran is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Robertson works his foot free and advances to mount.
Robertson lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Robertson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Robertson lands a big shot there that rocks Duran but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Robertson fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Duran wants to hold on but Robertson pushes him away.
Robertson connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Duran is looking to get to half guard.
Duran slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Duran is pressing down on Robertson's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Duran wants to stand and escape but Robertson is having none of it.

Duran has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Robertson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Duran is looking to stand up but Robertson isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Robertson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Robertson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Duran managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Robertson.
Robertson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Duran keeps working.
Duran prevents Robertson from moving into mount.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Robertson lands a decent elbow from side control.
Robertson works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Robertson connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Duran some visible discomfort.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Scott Robertson dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Robertson closes the distance looking for a takedown. Duran stuffs it but Robertson still has hold of him. Robertson picks Duran up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Robertson slams Duran to the floor and that's really hurt Duran - he doesn't know where he is! Robertson throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Scott Robertson!
