Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Ross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wedge Xiii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ross's entrance music is Neck of the Woods. A fine choice. Xiii has chosen Tenacious D - Master Exploder as his entrance music. Wedge Xiii has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Wedge Xiii!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, John Kavanagh and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xiii feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Ross looking for a sweep. Not yet Ross, not yet.
Ross can't keep his opponent in guard - Xiii advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Ross is trying to get back to full guard.
Xiii looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ross with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Ross is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Xiii scores with a couple of nice shots.

Xiii is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ross sees it coming and defends easily.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Xiii walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Ross checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Ross changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Xiii tries to avoid it but Ross manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Xiii to the ground. Xiii escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mike Ross has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Wedge Xiii comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Xiii has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
