Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Danny Ball (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Hathaway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Danny Ball! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Hathaway! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hathaway changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ball looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Hathaway wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ball, who protects the arm well. Ball is looking for a sweep. Hathaway swings around for an armbar but Ball sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Hathaway's guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hathaway is on top in guard.
Hathaway passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. Hathaway seems to be looking for submissions.
Hathaway wants to work for an arm triangle but Ball is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hathaway in particular looking to stall. Ball tries to roll over but Hathaway keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hathaway performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Ball wants to get back to full guard but Hathaway has mounted him! Ball tries to control Hathaway's body but Hathaway pushes him off. Ball squirms to his side and now Hathaway has his back! Ball trying to control the action but Hathaway just sinks the hooks in. I would not like to be Ball right now.
Ball wants to escape the position.
Hathaway is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ball trying to get back to his feet but Hathaway is in full control for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hathaway really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Ball. Ball is breathing heavily.
Mike Hathaway has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Ball moves into the clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ball letting Hathaway take a breather here. Hathaway breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hathaway uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ball.
Hathaway shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ball manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Hathaway not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. It looks like Hathaway might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mike Hathaway has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Hathaway closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Hathaway gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Hathaway controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hathaway pushes down on Ball's leg and manages to get into half guard. Hathaway with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hathaway moves into full mount! Ball won't be happy about that! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Hathaway dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Hathaway shoots in and bounces Ball off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Ball being controlled here, momentarily. Hathaway works a leg free and moves into half guard. Hathaway works his foot free and advances to mount. Ball has given up his back here. Will Hathaway look for the submission or keep pounding away?
Hathaway just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Mike Hathaway has got the better of the ground game so far. Hathaway misses with punches from the back. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hathaway biding his time, looking for the opening.
Hathaway's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Hathaway is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Ball knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Ball for a finish. Hathaway has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Ball is defending well but eventually Hathaway manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Ball has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
