Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dalton Pressnell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ignas Kaunas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ignas Kaunas told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ignas Kaunas!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksandr Martynov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaunas avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dalton Pressnell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pressnell tries to clinch but Kaunas moves out of range.
Pressnell throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kaunas was covering up waiting for the punch and Pressnell finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Pressnell wants to stand and escape but instead Kaunas has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Kaunas works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Kaunas stalling away here and it's allowed Pressnell to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Kaunas wants to pass the guard but Pressnell is keeping the position.
Pressnell keeping moving, preventing Kaunas from controlling successfully.

Kaunas forces his way into half guard.
Kaunas is working for a kimura but Pressnell is defending it quite comfortably.
Pressnell is trying to get back to full guard.
Pressnell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kaunas on the ground.
Kaunas is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Kaunas trying to control the action but Pressnell is working from the bottom.

Kaunas looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Kaunas is looking for a kimura but Pressnell is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kaunas to get the leverage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pressnell is staying active underneath Kaunas, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
