Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mustaffa Spliff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Marsden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marsden looks for a takedown but Spliff sprawls well.
Marsden throws a big shot that misses.
Marsden is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Spliff pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Spliff drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Marsden throws a shot from downtown. Spliff moves away and avoids it.
Marsden throws a right and a left that Spliff avoids nicely.
Spliff lands a leg kick that knocks Marsden off balance momentarily.
Spliff throws the kick towards the body but Marsden avoids it.
Horrible takedown by Marsden or perhaps it was just good defense by Spliff which made him look bad.

Spliff has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Marsden is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Spliff defends well.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Marsden fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Spliff avoids it really well and circles away.

Marsden bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Marsden changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Spliff tries to avoid it but Marsden manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Spliff to the ground. Spliff escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Spliff quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Marsden has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Spliff celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
