Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jon Jonson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vartan Mamikonyan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jonson comes to the cage accompanied by bis das Blut gefriert. Mamikonyan has chosen True Armenian Hero as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Saam Ante and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jonson wants to clinch up but Mamikonyan keeps it at a distance.
Jonson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mamikonyan cracks Jonson with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Jonson tries to close the distance and clinch but Mamikonyan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Mamikonyan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mamikonyan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Mamikonyan might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jonson haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Mamikonyan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jonson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mamikonyan has managed to get both his arms back between Jonson's legs - danger averted.

Mamikonyan wants to work for an arm triangle but Jonson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jonson is looking for a sweep. Mamikonyan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Jonson bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Jonson wants to stand but Mamikonyan is controlling his posture from full guard.
Jonson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Mamikonyan looking for a triangle here. Jonson is fighting it but it looks tight! Mamikonyan pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Jonson is tapping out - this one is all over!

Vartan Mamikonyan tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
