Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 6 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Erik Morris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, ILia Kosarev!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Kosarev, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kosarev throws a head kick but Morris moves out of range.
The fighters circle momentarily. Morris darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Kosarev will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kosarev leaves Morris with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Morris scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Morris lands a jab to Kosarev's midsection.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Morris steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Kosarev is out on his feet! Morris sets himself and nearly takes Kosarev's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Erik Morris!
