Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lady Trill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Salas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lady Trill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kevin Salas!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trill gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Salas counters by moving into the clinch.
Trill keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Salas's efforts to push away.
Trill has Salas pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Salas manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Trill tries to pull guard but Salas won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lady Trill. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Trill has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Salas avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Salas is pressed up against the cage. Trill has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Salas down to the mat. Salas avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Salas misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Trill shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Salas decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Trill's guard.
Salas is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Salas is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Kevin Salas has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Salas throws a leg kick but Trill moved away.
Trill shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Salas defends it nicely.

Trill pushes Salas up against the cage in a clinch.
Salas is looking to take this one to the mat.
Salas is trying to pull guard but Trill has him pressed against the cage.

Salas tries to pull guard but Trill holds him up against the cage and eventually Salas drops back down to his feet.
Salas using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Trill has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Trill trying to stall but Salas improves his position.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Salas looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Salas is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Trill to keep the fight standing.
Trill on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Trill breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Salas is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Trill's half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Salas is pressing down on Trill's thigh, looking to free his foot. Trill is holding on for now.

Salas is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Salas in particular looking to stall.
Salas thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Salas is pressing down on Trill's thigh, looking to free his foot. Trill is holding on for now.
Trill wants to get back to full guard but Salas has mounted him!

Trill bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Trill is breathing heavily.

Salas is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Salas is looking to stand up but Trill isn't so interested in that idea.

Trill has gone for a leg lock! Salas slips out almost immediately though and dives into Trill's guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Trill is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Salas dives into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Trill's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Salas gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Trill jumps guard but Salas turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Salas pulls guard.
Trill looking to sit in guard and control but Salas gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Salas chips away with some ground and pound.
Salas stops Trill from standing up.
Salas wanted to stand there but Trill had control of the position.
Salas missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Salas is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Trill looking for a guillotine here but Salas defends easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Salas not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kevin Salas wasn't active enough on the ground.
Trill shoots in for a double leg but Salas sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Salas drives through with a takedown into Trill's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Salas with a flurry of punches that miss.
Trill might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Salas stands and throws Trill's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Salas connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Trill some visible discomfort.

Trill takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Salas sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Trill is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Salas lands some shots froms side control.
Salas tries to stand but Trill is controlling his head.
Trill on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
You can see the frustration on Trill's face as Salas controls the position.

Salas tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Salas lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Salas advances to mount.
Salas looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Trill is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Salas scoring with strikes but Trill is staying in there.
Salas landing strikes from the mount.
Salas controlling the position easily from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kevin Salas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Salas shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Trill is trying to defend but Salas finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Trill wants to control but Salas is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Trill knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Salas on the ground.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Kevin Salas hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Salas.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Kevin Salas is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Lady Trill is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Trill tries to sprawl but Salas drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Well Salas has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
