Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luke Hoey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Skip Nasty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luke Hoey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Skip Nasty! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nasty rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Hoey counters by clinching up. Nasty jumps guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nasty is adopting a defensive guard. Nasty not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Nasty bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hoey's guard. Hoey is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Nasty would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Hoey kicks Nasty off and gets to his feet. Nice takedown defense from Hoey. No joy for Nasty on that attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoey tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Hoey misses with an attempted mid kick.

It looks like Skip Nasty has been cut. Nasty moves in looking to clinch but Hoey pushes him off. Hoey fails to land with a series of punches.
Skip Nasty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hoey swats away the attempt to clinch by Nasty. Hoey throws a head kick but Nasty moves out of range.
Hoey with a poor takedown and Nasty counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Nasty pulls guard effortlessly. Hoey postures up in Nasty's guard and throws a big left but Nasty blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nasty is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Nasty not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hoey slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Hoey gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. This has been an exciting period of action! Hoey will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Nasty will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoey shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nasty pinned against the cage. Nasty gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luke Hoey. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hoey is breathing heavily. Hoey leaves Nasty with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Nasty shoots in for a double leg but Hoey sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nasty fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hoey avoids it really well and circles away. Hoey has Nasty up against the cage in a clinch.

A close round but Skip Nasty will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Skip Nasty's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Nasty fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Nasty throws a push kick but Hoey slaps the foot to one side. Nasty fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hoey uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Nasty has time to react. Hoey shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Nasty defends it nicely. Nasty bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Hoey gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Nasty is looking to advance position but Hoey won't allow it. Nasty is breathing heavily. Hoey is refusing to be controlled, as Nasty sits in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoey manages to escape and get back to his feet! Nasty throws a head kick that misses. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hoey is defended easily by Nasty. Nasty tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hoey sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nasty somewhat. Hoey has Nasty up against the cage in a clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hoey fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luke Hoey. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nasty misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Luke Hoey is winning the standup battle so far. Nasty fails with the takedown. Hoey fails with a takedown attempt. Luke Hoey is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hoey tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nasty paws at him with a jab and circles away. A right-left combo lands from Nasty. Nasty stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nasty wants it to stay on the feet.

and Hoey counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Hoey shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. A momentary lapse in concentration from Hoey enables Nasty to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hoey manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Nasty wants to pass the guard but Hoey is keeping the position. Nasty slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Hoey struggling a bit here. Hoey is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Nasty's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Hoey is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Nasty scores with a couple of nice shots.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hoey is positioning himself well to prevent Nasty advancing to mount. Nasty stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. This has been an exciting period of action! Nasty fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Nasty walks into a jab. Skip Nasty showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Skip Nasty's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Hoey has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Nasty is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Hoey prevents the takedown attempt.

Hoey manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Hoey working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Nasty. Nasty content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hoey tries to land a sweep but no joy. Skip Nasty has got the better of the ground game so far. Nasty in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Nasty trying to control but Hoey is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hoey wants to get back to his feet but Nasty passes into half guard.
Hoey wants to improve his position but Nasty is controlling well.
Nasty looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nasty uses his free foot to push down on Hoey's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hoey.
And that's the end of the fight! Skip Nasty comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Nasty winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Skip Nasty wins by unanimous decision! A relieved looking Skip Nasty thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
