Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roman Mazzuca!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Joseph Jones and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thornton connects with an inside leg kick.
Thornton connects with a solid leg kick.
Thornton avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Thornton lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Thornton cracks the inside of Mazzuca's front leg.
Thornton staying out of range there.
Mazzuca throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Thornton dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Thornton scores with a nice body kick.
Mazzuca scores with a crisp jab that stopped Thornton in his tracks.
Mazzuca throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Good leg kick by Thornton there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Thornton closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mazzuca's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Thornton throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mazzuca works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Thornton stands and throws Mazzuca's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Thornton is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mazzuca is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Mazzuca is letting Thornton control him for a moment.
Thornton wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mazzuca, who protects the arm well.
Thornton working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

Mazzuca is not content to let Thornton control the position.
Thornton is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Mazzuca is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Mazzuca sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mazzuca controlling the position well.
Mazzuca moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mazzuca is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Thornton trying to control but Mazzuca is working from the bottom.

Thornton wants to pass the guard but Mazzuca is keeping the position.
Mazzuca wants to sweep but no luck.
Thornton pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mazzuca is keeping the position for now.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Thornton is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Thornton moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Mazzuca pivots, looking for a leg kick but Thornton is out of range and Mazzuca settles back down.
Thornton lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
An inside leg kick lands from Thornton.
Mazzuca on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Thornton uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mazzuca.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Thornton.
A solid leg kick lands there for Thornton.
Mazzuca sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Mazzuca is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Thornton cracks the inside of Mazzuca's front leg.
Thornton shoots in for a double leg but Mazzuca sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Terrence Thornton is winning the standup battle so far.
Thornton pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Mazzuca back to the cage. Thornton follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Thornton dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mazzuca. That did some damage!
Thornton lands a big head kick that sends Mazzuca to the canvas! Thornton follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
