Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Kingston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ike Riddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kingston comes into the arena with Public Enemy - Black Steel In The Hour Of Chaos blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Anthony Taglia and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riddell looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kingston is fending him off so far but Riddell persists. Nope, Kingston circles away and we're back to standing.
Riddell keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Nice takedown defense from Kingston. No joy for Riddell on that attempt.

Riddell uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kingston.
Riddell pulls out of a head kick attempt.
No joy there for Kingston, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Kingston looks to land a combination but Riddell avoids it well.

Eddie Kingston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Riddell shoots in but Kingston avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Eddie Kingston has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ike Riddell.

and Riddell counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Kingston is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Riddell fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Kingston throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Riddell sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kingston stuns Riddell with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Kingston lands a two punch combo.

Riddell tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kingston swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kingston misses with the combination.
Good leg kick by Kingston there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kingston works Riddell's body with a nice hook.
Kingston stalks Riddell and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Riddell's face. Riddell staggers backwards, shaken.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kingston lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Kingston throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.


Riddell is rocked!

Riddell is still on wobbly legs! Can Kingston finish him?
Kingston throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kingston tries a head kick but it misses.
Kingston is working the combinations to good effect here.

Riddell is trying desperately to land a takedown but Kingston is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Riddell.
Riddell shoots in for a double leg but Kingston sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kingston clobbers Riddell with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Kingston lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kingston lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Riddell backs up against the cage.
Kingston lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Riddell can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Kingston and Riddell drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Kingston.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eddie Kingston!
