Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nigel York (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Austin Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). York comes to the cage accompanied by British Grenadiers Song. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers lands with an uppercut that bounces York off the cage and back into range.
Powers thumps York with a low kick.
Powers misses the jab.
York throws a chopping leg kick but Powers manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
York shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Powers as he jumps to the side.
Powers misses with the body kick
and York finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
York cracks Powers with a good jab.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
York misses with a jab, cross combination.
York tries to score a power double leg takedown but Powers sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten York somewhat.
Powers moves out of range as York throws a body kick.
York throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Powers sees it coming and avoids it easily.
York uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Powers.
York misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Powers.

and York connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Nigel York seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Powers keeps York at a distance using the push kick.

Powers takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
York motions for Powers to come forward. York throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
York takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
York takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Powers thuds his right hand into York's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

and York counters with a body kick that stops Powers in his tracks momentarily.
York throws a head kick but Powers moves out of range.
York doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
York is breathing heavily.
York takes one on the button.
Powers lands with a thumping leg kick.
York blocks a head kick by Powers.
Powers drops York with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but York looks back up at him and smiles so Powers waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
It looks like Nigel York has been cut.
Powers thows a body shot but no joy.
Powers connects with an inside leg kick.
York throws a push kick but Powers slaps the foot to one side.
Powers is looking to chop away at York's legs.
Powers throws a body kick that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
York looks to score with a jab to the body but Powers is just out of range.
Powers misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from York.
York blocks a head kick by Powers.
Austin Powers is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Nice uppercut lands for Powers. That snapped York's head back.
Powers uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before York has time to react.

Powers tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but York paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

York throws a half hearted mid kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Austin Powers dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Nigel York's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Powers connects with a right that clearly hurt York. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Powers proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till York collapses and taps out under the pressure!
