Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Silo Pain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kyrie Lirving!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lirving tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Lirving rushes Pain and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Pain is trying to drag Lirving to the mat but Lirving just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Lirving wants a takedown but no success here.
Lirving wants to take the fight to the mat but Pain manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Lirving pulls Pain into guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lirving is on top in guard.

Pain working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lirving doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lirving manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Lirving must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Lirving throwing strikes from guard but Pain blocks nicely.
Pain seems keen to control Lirving's posture.

Pain has a closed guard, preventing Lirving from standing up.
Lirving preventing the sweep.
Pain pulls Lirving in close to prevent any damage.
Lirving trying to control the position from guard on top but Pain is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Pain misses the shot to the body.
Pain stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.


It looks like Kyrie Lirving has been cut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lirving shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Pain throws a left and a right that both miss
and Lirving counters with a solid body kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lirving misses with a takedown attempt - Pain sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Silo Pain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyrie Lirving.
Lirving fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pain ducks under a wild hook from Lirving.
Lirving should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Lirving tries a head kick but it misses.
Lirving keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Lirving tries to keep at a distance but Pain has taken the fight into the clinch.
Lirving managing to block the knees to the body from Pain.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Lirving breaks from the clinch.
Lirving misses with the combination.
Lirving lands with an overhand left.
Lirving misses with a few strikes there.
Lirving avoids the body shot from Pain.
Pain cracks Lirving with a good jab.
Pain stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pain wants it to stay on the feet.
Pain lands a nice looking body shot.
Pain throws out a powerful jab.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lirving throws a head kick that misses.
Pain just misses with a punch to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Pain clinches with his opponent.
Pain tries to break free but Lirving pushes him back against the cage.

Pain jumps guard and drags Lirving to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Pain manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lirving manages to get himself to full guard.

Lirving throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Pain decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lirving, up you get!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lirving.

Pain pushes Lirving up against the cage in a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Silo Pain dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Kyrie Lirving's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


A slow jab from Pain misses its intended target.
Pain fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lirving manages to avoid it.
Pain tries to clinch but Lirving is having none of it.
Lirving fails to land the takedown.
Pain defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lirving.
Lirving will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Silo Pain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyrie Lirving.
Lirving lands with a slapping head kick.
Kyrie Lirving is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lirving tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pain manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Pain misses with a hook. Lirving ducked under it nicely.
Lirving tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pain swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lirving throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Lirving shoots in looking for a takedown. Pain tries to sprawl out of it but Lirving keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pain manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lirving takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lirving doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Lirving has eaten all the pies!
Lirving is breathing heavily.
Pain throws a right hand that Lirving ducks under and follows up with a left that Lirving also avoids with ease.
Pain lands a head shot.
Lirving stuffs the takedown attempt from Pain. Pain gets slowly back to his feet.
An inside leg kick from Pain misses.
Donk. Pain catches Lirving right on the button with a cross.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pain throws a good cross that connects.


That has opened up Kyrie Lirving's cut even more.
Pain connects with a right that clearly hurt Lirving. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Pain proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Lirving collapses and taps out under the pressure!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Silo Pain!
