Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fredo Dio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fletcher Franklin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Franklin has chosen Erasure - Always as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franklin throws a leg kick but Dio checks it.
Dio just misses with a punch to the body.
Dio connects with a single shot there.
Dio swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Franklin misses with a wild body shot.
Franklin gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Dio tries to bum rush Franklin with a series of wild strikes but Franklin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Dio dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Dio leaves Franklin with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Fredo Dio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dio ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Franklin moves away.

Dio dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Dio scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Franklin is looking to take a break and control but Dio is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Dio is looking to wear down Franklin with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Franklin takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Dio scores with a jab. Franklin acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Franklin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Franklin is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Dio sizes up Franklin with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Dio swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Franklin thows a body shot but no joy.
Franklin changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dio looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Dio is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Franklin content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Dio is not content to let Franklin control the position.

Dio takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Franklin tries to advance to mount but can't.
Dio parries the strikes from Franklin easily there. Franklin is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Dio to escape.
Dio dodges the ground and pound from Franklin.

Franklin trying to control the position but Dio is working away.
Franklin in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Franklin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Franklin wants to control but Dio is keeping him busy.
Dio on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dio tries to get out of the position.
Franklin is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Dio will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Franklin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dio has escaped the position, nice work there.
Franklin tries for a kimura but Dio is defending well.

Fletcher Franklin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Dio moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Franklin throws out a loose jab but Dio uses good head movement to avoid it.
Dio scores with a one two! Franklin had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Dio lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Franklin circles away quickly and effectively.

Dio slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Franklin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Franklin takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Dio connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Franklin momentarily.
Dio dodges the punch combination from Franklin.
Fredo Dio is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Dio throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Franklin.
Dio will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Franklin moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Dio connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Dio moves into range and connects with a jab.

Some bone on bone action there as Dio checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Franklin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dio moves away.
Dio ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Dio jabs Franklin right on the nose. Franklin blinks but takes it well.
Dio thuds a left hand into Franklin's body.
Franklin takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Franklin tries a low kick but Dio avoids it.
Dio connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Franklin drives through with a takedown into guard.

Franklin is trying to control the action in half guard but Dio is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Franklin wants to pass to mount but Dio is defending the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Franklin throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Franklin frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Franklin can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dio is looking to escape.
And that's the end of the fight!
Fredo Dio showed his dominance in that final round.
