Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joni Sipil!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Tike Myson!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sipil wants to land a leg kick but Myson is out of range.
Myson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Sipil throws out a loose jab but Myson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Myson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The fight stays on the outside here - Myson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A bone on bone clash there as Myson blocks the leg kick.
Myson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sipil swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Myson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Myson fails in his attempt to clinch.
Sipil attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

and Sipil counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Sipil is nestled in close to Myson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Sipil lands a nice short elbow.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Myson is looking to control Sipil's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Myson avoid being mounted?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sipil looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Myson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Myson on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.


Myson is rocked!
Sipil sitting in half guard here. He lands a big elbow that has hurt Myson! Oh, Myson is in big trouble! Sipil lands more strikes and the ref dives in to save him! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Joni Sipil!
A relieved looking Joni Sipil thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
