Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Oslyn Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Einar Haugen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Haugen is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Blood Rave !. Oslyn Rose had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 157.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Oslyn Rose had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Oslyn Rose! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Einar Haugen! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Haugen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Rose looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Rose shoots in but no luck this time. Haugen clinches with his opponent.
Haugen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Rose trying to control the position but instead, Haugen has worked for underhooks and has pushed Rose into the cage. Haugen is trying to break the clinch but Rose has him pressed against the cage. Haugen lands a hook that snaps the head of Rose backwards. Rose jumps guard but Haugen turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Haugen manages to break the clinch.
Haugen shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Rose manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Rose might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Haugen slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Rose can't keep his opponent in guard - Haugen advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Haugen thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Haugen postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Rose to stand up. Haugen tries to clinch there but Rose circles away.
Haugen lands a glancing blow to the side of Rose's head. Haugen throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rose tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Haugen is in Rose's guard. Haugen not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Rose is working an open guard so Haugen takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Rose gets tackled into the cage by Haugen. Haugen maintains the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Haugen has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Rose clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Haugen is riding his opponent, not letting Rose buck him off. I really don't envy Rose right now.
Haugen is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Rose taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Haugen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Einar Haugen! A determined Einar Haugen didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
