Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aiden McGregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Finbar OReilly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Finbar OReilly! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McGregor throws a body punch but OReilly moves out of range. McGregor could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. OReilly shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. McGregor defends it nicely. McGregor gets the takedown into side control. OReilly trying his best to control but McGregor has mounted him. McGregor landing strikes, looking to finish! McGregor dominating with strikes here. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if OReilly can do anything to dispel that myth. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McGregor wants to control the pace but OReilly is squirming around nicely. McGregor is in the full mount, landing strikes. McGregor takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. McGregor lands with some strikes. McGregor scoring with strikes but OReilly is staying in there. OReilly is bucking up trying to escape but McGregor cracks him with another couple of good strikes. McGregor lands a nice shot to the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. OReilly takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. OReilly tries to hold on but McGregor postures up. McGregor sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. McGregor has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. McGregor's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. OReilly tries to lock up and control but McGregor gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

McGregor pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. McGregor with the ground and pound from mount. McGregor in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. McGregor controlling the pace for now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McGregor landing strikes from the mount. McGregor tries to control but OReilly wriggling away. McGregor scores with a couple of good head shots there.

OReilly is rocked! OReilly wants to control but McGregor is having none of it. McGregor raining down hammerfists from mount. OReilly is still in real trouble! Can McGregor finish him? McGregor tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. OReilly seems to have recovered his senses. OReilly is in a horrible position here. McGregor smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
McGregor controlling the pace for now. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! OReilly is desperately trying to improve his position but McGregor has a good base and remains in mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aiden McGregor dominated that round. That's time! McGregor's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
OReilly wants to clinch up but McGregor keeps it at a distance. OReilly changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McGregor looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. McGregor can't do much from the bottom here. Who's going to make the next move? OReilly trying to control the action but McGregor is working from the bottom. McGregor is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that OReilly can do to turn this around?

McGregor has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. OReilly is just content to waste time from the top position. McGregor takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. OReilly looking to sit in guard and control but McGregor gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McGregor stays in close to OReilly's body and controls the position. McGregor cracks OReilly with a solid left hand. OReilly is trying to control the position from the bottom.
McGregor stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. OReilly swivels though and keeps the full guard. McGregor connects with a couple of short punches. OReilly can't keep his opponent in guard - McGregor advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. McGregor is nestled in close to OReilly, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. OReilly is trying to control but can't.

OReilly is staying active underneath McGregor, who seems content to just control the action from this position. McGregor is figuring out what he wants to do next. Ground and pound from McGregor. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. McGregor works over OReilly with some ground and pound from guard. OReilly has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McGregor can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. OReilly takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. McGregor controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. McGregor postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. McGregor lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. McGregor controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

McGregor seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down OReilly for as long as he can get away with. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McGregor looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Nice strikes from McGregor there. OReilly is looking for a sweep. McGregor is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. McGregor content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Finbar OReilly has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Aiden McGregor is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! OReilly is trying to get back to full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Aiden McGregor showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for McGregor, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
