Vader gets caught flat footed, as OReilly shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

OReilly has picked Vader up - he's going for a ride! OReilly dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
OReilly thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
OReilly will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

OReilly is looking to take a break and control but Vader is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
OReilly looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Vader with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
We've been hearing that OReilly has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. OReilly lands a nice short elbow.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. OReilly connects with a nice short shot to Vader's temple.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

OReilly lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Vader quite badly. Vader pulls OReilly in close trying to recover. OReilly postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Vader on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Vader doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Finbar OReilly!
