The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shumanov fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Nauman, pushing him back against the cage.
Shumanov gets underhooks to prevent Nauman's takedown attempt.
Nauman wants a takedown but no success here.
Shumanov wants to break free but Nauman has control.
Shumanov tries to circle away but Nauman has him pinned against the cage.
Nauman is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Shumanov pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alistair Nauman. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Shumanov gets control of Nauman's arms and successfully pulls guard. Shumanov will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Nauman has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Shumanov is proving hard to escape from.
Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back.

Shumanov has his feet on Nauman's thighs here. He's pushed Nauman off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Nauman screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
