The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perry connects with a solid leg kick.
Perry throws a big shot that misses.

Mckay connects with a crisp jab.

Perry throws a wild body kick that Mckay sees coming a mile off.

Perry uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mckay.

Mckay closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Mckay works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Mckay wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Perry, who protects the arm well.

Mckay thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Mckay tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mckay has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mckay is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Perry has escaped the position, nice work there.

Mckay in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Perry takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Mckay is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Perry is trying to escape and Mckay transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Perry is forced to tap! Nice work there by Mckay! Very nice indeed!
