Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Michael Mifsud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sheikh Hasina Wazed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Wazed's choice of entrance music: Mercedes Sosa - Como la Cigarra. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
26 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Michael Mifsud!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
18 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sheikh Hasina Wazed!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Summer Carpenter and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wazed shoots in looking for a takedown. Mifsud tries to sprawl out of it but Wazed keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mifsud manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mifsud lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Wazed throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mifsud's waist but Mifsud gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wazed off to one side.
Mifsud misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mifsud misses with a hook. Wazed ducked under it nicely.
Wazed shoots in but Mifsud avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Michael Mifsud has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sheikh Hasina Wazed.
Mifsud just misses with a punch to the body.
Wazed misses with a looping right.
Mifsud feints and then cracks Wazed's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Wazed down.
A head kick misses from Mifsud.
Mifsud is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Wazed.
Mifsud swinging wildly here.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Wazed fails with the takedown
and Mifsud counters with a low kick, right behind Wazed 's knee.
Wazed shoots in but no luck this time.
Wazed throws a right hand that misses
and Mifsud counters with a series of strikes that sends Wazed to the canvas! Mifsud follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!
Wazed is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Mifsud gets to his feet and stands over Wazed, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Wazed felt that one! Mifsud unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Wazed from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Mifsud!
Michael Mifsud decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
