The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayweather blocks a head kick by Lewis.
Lewis throws a head kick that misses
and Mayweather counters with a nice uppercut.
Lewis throws a leg kick but Mayweather sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Mayweather misses the shot to the body.
Mayweather keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Lewis misses with a few strikes there.
Mike Lewis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mayweather rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lewis moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lewis connects with a single shot there.
Lewis walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
It looks like Mike Lewis has been cut.

Good exchange - Mayweather coming out on top.
Lewis is rocked!
Mayweather misses with an attempted mid kick.
Mayweather throws a body punch but Lewis moves out of range.

Lewis is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mayweather.

Mayweather throws a push kick but Lewis slaps the foot to one side.
Lewis takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Lewis lands a big head kick that sends Mayweather tumbling to the mat! Lewis takes a step backwards and waves Mayweather back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Lewis throws a head kick that misses
and Mayweather counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Lewis! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Mayweather!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ray Mayweather!
After winning the bout, Ray Mayweather thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
