Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Blas Kavcic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Turbo Taines (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Blas Kavcic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Turbo Taines! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Chris Saunders and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taines shoots for a double leg takedown but Kavcic sprawls well. He's pushed Taines's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Taines is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kavcic sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Some wild striking there from Taines.
Taines misses with a takedown attempt and Kavcic holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Blas Kavcic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Turbo Taines. Taines is trying to drag Kavcic to the mat but Kavcic just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there. Taines tries to pull guard but Kavcic forces him back to his feet, against the ropes. Kavcic gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kavcic moves into full mount! Taines won't be happy about that! Taines is desperately trying to improve his position but Kavcic has a good base and remains in mount. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Kavcic wants to finish this one by submission but Taines is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Kavcic. Taines tries to hold on but Kavcic postures up. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Taines can't escape the position.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kavcic controlling the position easily from mount. Kavcic wants to finish this one by submission but Taines is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Kavcic. Kavcic forces the positional change into back control. Taines is trying to defend against the choke here but Kavcic has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Kavcic Tightens the hold and Taines taps out furiously! Kavcic displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Blas Kavcic! Blas Kavcic decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
