Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Tyron Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cristi Vargas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cristi Vargas has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Tyron Kim's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tyron Kim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cristi Vargas!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Wagner Zegers and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vargas swings for the body but Kim moves out of range.
Vargas is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Vargas tries to clinch but Kim is having none of it.
Vargas looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Kim throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Vargas tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Kim counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Cristi Vargas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vargas takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Kim avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kim throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Vargas thows a body shot but no joy.

enabling Kim to counter with a crisp jab.

Kim gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Vargas.

Kim lands a nice hook to Vargas's body. Vargas takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Vargas bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kim lunges at Vargas with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Vargas's hand.

Kim gets tackled into the ropes by Vargas. Vargas maintains the clinch.
Kim lands a nice shot to the body.
Kim misses with a punch to the body.
Kim goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Vargas swings wildly with an uppercut but Kim uses good head movement to avoid it.
Vargas is trying to push Kim away but Kim has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.
Kim tries to break free but Vargas pushes him back against the ropes.
Kim keeps control of Vargas as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kim struggles to land a body shot inside as Vargas controls his hands.

Kim has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Kim takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kim crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Vargas - the referee stops the clock and Kim gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Vargas. Kim manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Vargas uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kim.
Vargas bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kim lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Sloppy strikes from Kim. Those never looked like landing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kim. Vargas does a little dance to reset his feet.
Vargas tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Kim manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kim takes a kick to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Cristi Vargas will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Vargas lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kim circles away quickly and effectively.

and as Kim resets, Vargas pounces with a savage head kick that drops Kim to the mat! Kim looks wobbly but gets back to his feet on the count of 5. The referee continues the count to 8 then steps aside to let these two guys get back at it!


Kim is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kim cracks Vargas with an open hand slap.
Oh Kim is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kim drops his hands momentarily and Vargas needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Kim just on the top of the head. Kim drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Kim - he's done!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Cristi Vargas!
Cristi Vargas decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
