Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bill Timmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ugly Kid Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Timmons comes into the arena with Diamond Eyes blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Timmons looks to land a right hand but Joe moved out of range.
Timmons throws a series of strikes that have Joe backpedaling.
It looks like Ugly Kid Joe has been cut.
Timmons misses with a looping right.
Joe throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Timmons pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Joe back to the cage. Timmons follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Sloppy strikes from Timmons . Those never looked like landing.
Joe slips a jab from Timmons .
Timmons is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Joe.

Timmons fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Joe to the ground. Timmons is now in Joe's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Timmons wants to pass the guard but Joe is keeping the position.
Timmons throws a big right hand that misses.
Joe looking for a sweep. Not yet Joe, not yet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Joe controls Timmons momentarily but Timmons frees himself.

Timmons wants to control from the top but Joe keeps moving.

Timmons dives in and grabs Joe's left leg, looking for a takedown. Joe pushes down on Timmons 's head and hops out.

Joe throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Joe counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Timmons instigates a clinch.

Joe pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A punch lands to the side of Joe 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Timmons lands an overhand right.
Timmons clobbers Joe with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Timmons jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Timmons blocks a jab.
Timmons swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Joe slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Joe throws a lazy right hand but Timmons sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Timmons throws a hook but Joe avoids it easily.
Timmons throws a right and a left that Joe avoids nicely.
Timmons uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Joe.
Joe takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Joe stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Joe scores with a shot to the body.
Timmons tries to score a power double leg takedown but Joe sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Timmons somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bill Timmons . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Timmons bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Timmons looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Timmons misses with a leg kick.
Timmons throws a wild body kick that Joe sees coming a mile off.
Timmons misses with an attempted mid kick.
Timmons lands a body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Bill Timmons will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Timmons dips to his left and cracks Joe with an uppercut!
Timmons drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Joe wants to control but Timmons postures up.
Joe sneaks back into half guard.
Joe is trying to control but can't.
Joe tries to get to full guard but Timmons has control of the leg.
Joe taking some punishment here, with Timmons in his half guard.
Timmons has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Timmons working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Timmons tries to pass the half guard into mount. Joe knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Timmons is keen to just control but Joe is a slippery customer.

Joe is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Timmons scores with a couple of nice shots.

Timmons is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Joe is hurt! He's hurt bad - Timmons fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Joe from any more punishment! Congratulations to Timmons ! Great finish!
