PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bubba Gump (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Tags (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gump comes to the cage accompanied by Fucking Hostile - Pantera. Tags is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Dwarf Song. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tags tries to close the distance and clinch but Gump swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Gump drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Tags moves out of range of the strikes.

Gump closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Tags's guard.
Tags looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gump is one step ahead there.
Gump pushes down on Tags's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Tags manages to get to full guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gump accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Gump wants to control from the top but Tags keeps moving.

Tags wants to sweep here but Gump controlling him for the moment.
Tags working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Gump.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tags bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gump's guard.

Gump is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tags is aware though and is defending well.

Tags has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gump is proving hard to escape from.
Tags stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gump swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gump is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Tags's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Tags's back!

Gump lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Gump connects with a big shot to the side of Tags's head.
Even with his hooks in, Gump manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Gump thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Tags tries to escape but Gump has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
