Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Curtis Sharp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Clarkson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
23 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Curtis Sharp! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ryan Clarkson! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Summer Carpenter and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sharp throws a looping overhand right but Clarkson ducks down to avoid it. Sharp uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Clarkson. Clarkson gets the takedown into side control. Sharp tries to get back to half guard but can't. Clarkson trying to control the action but Sharp is working from the bottom. Clarkson is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Sharp's shoulder. That is not cool. Sharp is looking to reverse the position. Sharp holding on. Clarkson is trying to get an arm triangle but Sharp is defending well. Sharp stops Clarkson from passing to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sharp is trying to get back to half guard. Clarkson wants to control but Sharp is keeping him busy. Clarkson controlling the position from side mount. Sharp throws a right hand that misses
and Clarkson counters by moving into the clinch. Sharp misses with a hook from the clinch. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Clarkson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Sharp pulls him back up using the underhooks. A frustrated look appears on Sharp's face as he tries to break the clinch. Clarkson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sharp pulls his leg out and moves away.
Sharp throws a push kick but Clarkson slaps the foot to one side. Sharp tries a head kick but it misses.
Sharp scores with a nice head shot. Sharp misses with a low kick. Sharp fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Clarkson manages to avoid it.

and Clarkson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sharp's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Clarkson being controlled here momentarily. Sharp wants to sweep here but Clarkson controlling him for the moment. Sharp utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Clarkson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Clarkson trying to control the position from guard on top but Sharp is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A combination from Sharp does no damage. Sharp swings and misses with a shot to the body and Clarkson counters with a lovely straight right hand! Sharp fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Clarkson. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Clarkson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Sharp moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Curtis Sharp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sharp swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Clarkson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sharp's guard now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Clarkson trying to control the position from guard on top but Sharp is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Clarkson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Sharp haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Ryan Clarkson was stalling too much, according to the referee. Sharp fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Clarkson. Sharp slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Sharp misses with a hook
and Clarkson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Clarkson. Sharp is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Clarkson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Clarkson wants to control from the top but Sharp keeps moving. This has been an exciting period of action! Sharp is controlling Clarkson's posture. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Clarkson has gone for a leg lock! Sharp slips out almost immediately though and dives into Clarkson's guard. Sharp stays in close to Clarkson's body and controls the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Clarkson looking for a sweep. Not yet Clarkson, not yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Ryan Clarkson will probably get the nod - 10:9. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Sharp lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Clarkson circles away quickly and effectively.
That's one minute gone in the round. Clarkson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sharp pinned against the cage. Sharp gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Clarkson looks for a takedown but Sharp sprawls well. Sharp throws an overhand right that lands on Clarkson's shoulder, as Clarkson tries to avoid the shot. Sharp misses with a hook. Sharp misses the jab. Clarkson slips under a jab.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ryan Clarkson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Sharp stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sharp wants it to stay on the feet. Clarkson has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Clarkson there as he acknowledges the shot. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Oooooh!!! Sharp has knocked Clarkson down with a huge combo! Sharp steps away and waves a wobbly Clarkson back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Ryan Clarkson has been cut. Sharp swings for the body but Clarkson moves out of range.
Clarkson is still on wobbly legs! Can Sharp finish him? A solid leg kick lands there for Sharp.
Sharp tried to score with a low kick but Clarkson checks it. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Clarkson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sharp. Sharp misses with a shot to the body and Clarkson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Ryan Clarkson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Sharp has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Clarkson doesn't defend quickly enough and Sharp has managed to lock this one up! Can Clarkson escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Sharp on a fantastic submission victory.
