Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joe Rogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabe Thurgood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Anni Minnem�ki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Rogan takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

and Rogan counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rogan is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Thurgood's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Thurgood displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rogan throws out the jab.

Rogan uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Thurgood.
Rogan walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Rogan moves out of range of the strikes.
Thurgood uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rogan.
Rogan avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Gabe Thurgood showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
