Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dzevad Poturak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DD Becks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Poturak might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Troublesome 96. DD Becks has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Dzevad Poturak's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Poturak throws a jab when Becks was well out of range. Becks looks to land a combination but Poturak avoids it well. Poturak decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Poturak trying to control the pace. Becks is looking to improve his position.
Becks is trying to control but can't.
Poturak seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Becks with the active half guard here but Poturak passes nicely into side control. Poturak staying calm. Becks manages to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Becks manages to get to full guard.
Poturak trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Becks looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Poturak passes into side control.
Becks is trying to control Poturak's posture but Poturak avoids it. Becks is looking to reverse the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Poturak controlling the position. Becks takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Becks is trying to escape the position but Poturak is controlling the position. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Becks tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Poturak wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Poturak content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Poturak has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Poturak tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Becks is trying to work for a sweep but Poturak has mounted him! Poturak sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Becks wants to control but Poturak is having none of it. Becks keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Poturak manages to capitalize on a mistake by Becks to take his back! Poturak has the hooks in. Becks is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Poturak lands with a hammerfist to the side of Becks's head. Becks is trying to break free.

Poturak is trying to stick to Becks's back but Becks is turning into Poturak. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Poturak's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Becks. Becks stopping the sweep attempt from Poturak. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Becks won't allow Poturak to get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Becks drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Poturak manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Becks has Poturak in his guard. Becks is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Dzevad Poturak dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Poturak shoots in for a takedown but Becks shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. DD Becks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Becks avoids the head kick by Poturak.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Poturak here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Becks misses with a double jab.
Becks stalks Poturak and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Poturak's face. Poturak staggers backwards, shaken. Poturak takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Poturak throws a head kick that misses. Poturak has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Becks comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Becks works over Poturak's head and body with a nice combination. Becks misses with a two punch combination.
A nice combination there by Becks.
Becks lands with a nice combination. Poturak backs away looking to recover. Becks connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Poturak momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Becks throws out a powerful jab. Dzevad Poturak is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Becks stuns Poturak with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Poturak takes one on the button. Becks connects with a looping right hand.
Becks dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Becks lands a head shot. Poturak takes a body punch but keeps moving. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Becks!
Becks moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. A jab from Poturak misses. Poturak drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Poturak stays in close to Becks's body and controls the position. Poturak seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Becks for as long as he can get away with.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Becks escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Poturak gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Becks has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Poturak doesn't defend quickly enough and Becks has managed to lock this one up! Can Poturak escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Becks on a fantastic submission victory.
