Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grani Klang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hulk Petkovich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Grani Klang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hulk Petkovich!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klang throws a jab when Petkovich was well out of range.
Petkovich throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Klang's waist but Klang gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Petkovich off to one side.

Petkovich shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Petkovich showed some decent athleticism there.
Klang tries to roll over but Petkovich keeps him under control.
Klang is working hard here to advance position.
Petkovich has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Klang is desperately trying to improve his position but Petkovich has a good base and remains in mount.

Klang defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Petkovich.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Petkovich tries to pass to full mount but Klang defends it.
Petkovich drops an elbow to the side of Klang's head.

Petkovich won't allow Klang to sweep him here.

Klang looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Petkovich passes into half guard.

Klang is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Klang could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Petkovich pushes Klang off looking to stand but Klang dives back in and keeps control.

Klang tries to pass the half guard into mount. Petkovich knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Klang is working for a kimura but Petkovich is defending it quite comfortably.
Klang is looking to take a break and control but Petkovich is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Petkovich tries to roll over but Klang keeps him under control.
Klang is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Klang is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Petkovich can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Petkovich is trying to escape the mount.

Klang gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Klang throws a lazy right hand but Petkovich sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

The crowd cheers as Klang lands an impressive looking overhand right. Petkovich doesn't seem phased though.

Petkovich uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Klang.

Klang looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Petkovich is not content to let Klang control the position.

Klang stands up and beckons Petkovich to join him on the feet.

and Klang counters with a three punch combo that has Petkovich backing up. Petkovich nods at Klang to acknowledge the strikes.

Klang is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Klang throws a lazy right hand but Petkovich sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Klang has one foot on Petkovich's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Petkovich closes the distance and clinches up with Klang, looking for a takedown. Petkovich pushes Klang against the cage but Klang circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

No joy there for Klang, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Klang clobbers Petkovich with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Petkovich gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Klang is trying to break free.
Petkovich tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Klang smiles and moves away.
Klang misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Petkovich fails with the takedown.
Petkovich moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Klang closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Klang shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Klang was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Petkovich had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Klang is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Petkovich Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Klang's back instead.
Klang wants to control his opponent's hands but Petkovich gets his hands free.
Petkovich doesn't have the hooks in and Klang manages to turn into his guard.

Petkovich has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Klang can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Petkovich escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Klang gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Grani Klang showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Klang, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
