Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Siegfried Freak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mathurin Kerbouchard!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Ivan Kurochkin and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freak misses with the combination.
A slow jab from Freak misses its intended target.
Freak throws a series of punches but Kerbouchard moves out of range.
Freak dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kerbouchard. That did some damage!
Kerbouchard on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Kerbouchard looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Freak is fending him off so far but Kerbouchard persists. Nope, Freak circles away and we're back to standing.
Freak lands a nice leg kick that just misses Kerbouchard's sensitive parts.

Freak thows a left - swing and a miss!
Freak throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Freak swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Freak tries a head kick but it misses.
Siegfried Freak is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Freak connects with a body shot.
Freak lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kerbouchard circles away quickly and effectively.
Kerbouchard shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kerbouchard was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Freak on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Freak tries to get out of the position.
Kerbouchard has hold of Freak's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Freak seems comfortable defending it but Kerbouchard has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Freak is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Freak is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Kerbouchard couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Mathurin Kerbouchard!
After winning the bout, Mathurin Kerbouchard thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
