The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Wagner Zegers and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caotico swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mera shoots for a takedown but Caotico saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Mera throws an overhand right that lands on Caotico's shoulder, as Caotico tries to avoid the shot.
Caotico fails with an attempt to clinch.
A jab from Mera misses.
Mera swats away the attempt to clinch by Caotico.
Caotico has his takedown stuffed
and Mera counters with a single leg into guard. Caotico didn't expect that.
Mera advances to half guard.
Mera tries to pass to full mount but Caotico defends it.
Mera is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Caotico is in trouble now - Mera has advanced to mount!
Caotico is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mera sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Mera has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Mera throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Caotico has his hands clasped together but Mera breaks the hold and Caotico is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Mera!

Jose Mera really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Tab laundry WEEK logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
