Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sean Callaghan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phillip Askos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sean Callaghan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Phillip Askos!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Callaghan drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Callaghan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Askos is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Callaghan wants to control from the top but Askos keeps moving.
Askos controlling Callaghan's posture.
Askos wants to stand but Callaghan is controlling the position.
Askos wants to sweep but no luck.
Askos is controlling Callaghan's posture.

Phillip Askos has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Askos shoots for a double leg takedown but Callaghan sprawls well. He's pushed Askos's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Callaghan misses with a body kick.
Callaghan misses with a low kick as Askos jumps back.
Callaghan throws a body kick that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Callaghan tries to score with a low kick but Askos moves his leg out of the way.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Nice takedown defense from Callaghan. No joy for Askos on that attempt.
A solid leg kick lands there for Callaghan.
Askos dives in and grabs Callaghan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Callaghan pushes down on Askos's head and hops out.
Sean Callaghan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phillip Askos.
Askos shoots in for a takedown but Callaghan shows good takedown defense.
Askos keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Askos shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Callaghan but Callaghan pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Callaghan scores with a nice body kick.
Callaghan throws a leg kick but Askos checks it.
Callaghan motions for Askos to come forward. Callaghan throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Callaghan misses with a low kick as Askos jumps back.

Callaghan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Askos to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Askos drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Askos jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Askos slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Callaghan tries to bench press Askos off him but Askos keeps the position.
Askos lands an elbow.
Askos tries to stand but Callaghan is controlling his head.
Callaghan tries to improve position but can't.
Callaghan is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Askos's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Askos in particular looking to stall.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Askos prevents Callaghan from improving his position.
Askos slows the pace down in half guard.

Askos is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Askos is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Callaghan sees it coming and defends easily.
Callaghan wants to get back to full guard.
Askos thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Askos throws a strike but Callaghan avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Askos trying to control the position from guard on top but Callaghan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Askos looking to sit in guard and control but Callaghan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Callaghan won't allow Askos to sweep him here.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Callaghan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Askos is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Askos seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Callaghan is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Phillip Askos!
A less than humble Phillip Askos misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
