Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Castor Rollins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gabriel Bengala! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big left from Rollins misses. Bengala lands a right hook to the body.
Rollins keeps the fight on the outside. Bengala tries to clinch and Rollins moves into the clinch. Rollins misses with a body punch.
Bengala jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rollins walks away with a smile on his face. Bengala gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Rollins takes the fight into the clinch. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Rollins takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Rollins misses with a punch on the inside.
Rollins lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Bengala tries for a takedown but Rollins manages to get underhooks.
Rollins displaying some good clinch control by pressing Bengala up against the cage. Rollins misses with a hook from the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rollins tries to work over Bengala's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Bengala jumps into guard, dragging Rollins to the mat.
Bengala wants to sweep here but Rollins controlling him for the moment. Bengala has control of Rollins's left arm, preventing Rollins from doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rollins wants to control from the top but Bengala keeps moving.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Bengala tries to clinch there but Rollins circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rollins avoids the head kick by Bengala.
Bengala tries for a takedown but Rollins sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Castor Rollins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gabriel Bengala. Rollins throws a body punch but Bengala moves out of range. Gabriel Bengala seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rollins throws a predictable looking body shot
and Bengala counters with a right hand to the body. Bengala looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Rollins has closed the distance and engaged Bengala in a clinch.
Bengala blocks an uppercut.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. Bengala is trying to break free. Bengala looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Rollins lands an uppercut. Rollins pushes Bengala back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Rollins throws a head punch that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A short uppercut from Rollins. Rollins lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Bengala drags the fight down to the ground.
Bengala working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rollins doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rollins manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Rollins trying to control but Bengala is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Bengala looking for a triangle here. Rollins is fighting it but it looks tight! Bengala pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Rollins is tapping out - this one is all over!
