Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jizzy Krup!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vlad Vovkov!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Wagner Zegers and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vovkov showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Krup.
Krup thuds his right hand into Vovkov's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Krup fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Vovkov on the side of the head.
Krup throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Vovkov stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Vovkov with a poor takedown

and Krup moves into the clinch.

Krup wants the takedown. Vovkov is fighting it off but Krup persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Vovkov's guard against the cage.

Vovkov is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Krup sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Vovkov's guard.
Krup tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Vovkov.

Vovkov looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Krup works his foot free and advances to mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Krup looking to control but Vovkov is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Krup gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Krup cracks Vovkov with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Vovkov walks into a jab.
Krup misses with a straight right.
Krup thuds his right hand into Vovkov's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Krup lands a jab.
Vovkov has his takedown stuffed

and Krup counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Krup prevents Vovkov from improving his position.

Krup is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Vovkov has managed to free his arm - good work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
It looks like Krup is going to stand back up.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Krup is trying to control. Vovkov wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Vovkov looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Krup looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Krup is working for a kimura but Vovkov is defending it quite comfortably.
Krup looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Vovkov with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Krup is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Vovkov looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Krup wants to stand but Vovkov has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Krup postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Vovkov to stand up.
Good leg kick by Krup there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Krup fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Vovkov to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Vovkov looks to clinch but Krup throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Vovkov taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Jizzy Krup!
