The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Preston lands a head kick. Man smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Man shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Preston's guard.
Man trying to control but Preston is working from the bottom.

Preston not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Man tries to free his leg and advance position but Preston is retaining full guard.
Preston utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Man is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Preston will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Man slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jacob Preston's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
