Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jerry Snarff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Hecker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jerry Snarff! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeff Hecker! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Reed Andrews and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Snarff closes the distance and clinches up with Hecker, looking for a takedown. Snarff pushes Hecker against the cage but Hecker circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. No joy there for Snarff, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
No luck for Snarff with that takedown attempt. Hecker dives in and scores a takedown into Snarff's guard. Snarff is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hecker engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Snarff tries to strike from the bottom.
Snarff not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Snarff is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hecker is controlling him. Snarff has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hecker postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hecker trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Hecker is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Snarff working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hecker.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hecker throws a strike but Snarff rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Hecker wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Hecker wants to stand up but Snarff is controlling him. Hecker shoots and misses so Snarff counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Hecker looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Snarff wants to control from the top but Hecker keeps moving. Hecker wants to sweep here but Snarff controlling him for the moment. Snarff is looking to pass into half guard but Hecker pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Hecker is in guard.

Hecker distracts Snarff with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Snarff throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Hecker wants to control from the top but Snarff keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Snarff not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

A close round but Jeff Hecker will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Hecker looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. A momentary lapse in concentration from Snarff enables Hecker to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Snarff manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Snarff tries to land a sweep but no joy. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hecker accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Hecker trying to control but Snarff is working from the bottom. Hecker scoring with punches to the head and body. Snarff keeping moving, preventing Hecker from controlling successfully. Jeff Hecker has got the better of the ground game so far. Snarff looking to control.
Snarff is looking to sweep but instead, Hecker has passed into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hecker postures up in Snarff's guard and throws a big left but Snarff blocks it. Hecker works a leg free and moves into half guard. Hecker throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Hecker is taking a breather. Snarff says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Hecker is thwarting Snarff's attempts to control the position. Hecker not doing much here.
Hecker takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Hecker looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Snarff on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Hecker is just content to waste time from the top position. Jeff Hecker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Snarff lands a jab to Hecker's midsection. Hecker shoots in looking for a takedown but Snarff manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hecker's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Hecker gets the takedown into side control. Snarff wants to control but Hecker postures up. Hecker working the body and head with strikes.

Hecker shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hecker trying to pass the guard but Snarff defending well. Hecker looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Hecker is trying to control the action in half guard but Snarff is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Snarff is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hecker pulls his head out easily. Hecker trying to control the action but Snarff is working from the bottom.

Jeff Hecker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hecker takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. A slow jab from Snarff misses its intended target. Hecker fails miserably with a takedown attempt. No luck for Snarff with that takedown attempt. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hecker misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Hecker drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hecker is chipping away with strikes.
Jerry Snarff has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jeff Hecker is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Hecker grinds an elbow into Snarff's temple.
And that's the end of the fight! Jeff Hecker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hecker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
