PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sonny Katsuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lewis might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to FOZZY - Sandpaper (Featuring M Shadows). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Lewis finds it's way through Katsuki's defenses.
Katsuki lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lewis circles away quickly and effectively.
Lewis avoids the head kick by Katsuki.
Lewis misses the shot to the body.
Katsuki tries to clinch

and Lewis counters with a crisp one two that drops Katsuki! Lewis thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Katsuki to his feet! Katsuki is in big trouble!

Katsuki is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lewis ducks right into an uppercut from Katsuki.
Katsuki is still on wobbly legs! Can Lewis finish him?
Katsuki thumps Lewis with a low kick.
Lewis throws a lazy right hand but Katsuki sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Katsuki seems to have recovered his senses.

Lewis lands a big right hand that sends Katsuki crashing to the mat! Lewis stays standing though and waves Katsuki back to his feet!
Katsuki throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Lewis.
Good leg kick by Katsuki there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Katsuki turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Katsuki walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Lewis steps in with a hook that catches Katsuki right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Lewis follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Katsuki looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jonathan Lewis!
