Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ryan McCarthy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Rosario (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryan McCarthy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jonathan Rosario! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Dean Styles and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rosario fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Nice takedown defense from McCarthy. No joy for Rosario on that attempt. McCarthy tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A nice combination there by Rosario.
McCarthy looks to clinch and Rosario counters into the clinch. Nicely done. McCarthy wants to take the fight to the mat but Rosario manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. McCarthy wants a takedown.
McCarthy is trying to break the clinch but Rosario has him pressed against the cage. Rosario slows down the pace here.
McCarthy prevents Rosario from breaking the clinch. McCarthy lands a knee to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rosario is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. McCarthy can't fight it off and eventually Rosario manages to take the fight to the floor. McCarthy looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. McCarthy wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Rosario manages to pass to side control. Rosario seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. McCarthy is trying to control but Rosario manages to pass to mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rosario content just to control the position here. Rosario is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. McCarthy can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McCarthy really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rosario controlling the position easily from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McCarthy is in a horrible position here. Rosario smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Rosario has control of McCarthy's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and McCarthy regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Rosario lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Rosario with good strikes from the mount here! Rosario content just to control the position here. McCarthy is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. McCarthy is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Rosario has taken his back! This has been an exciting period of action! Rosario tightening his grip on McCarthy, looking for the choke. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jonathan Rosario dominated that round. That's time! McCarthy's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from McCarthy. Rosario defends well against a solid takedown attempt from McCarthy. McCarthy with a lazy takedown attempt and Rosario counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan McCarthy. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rosario advances position into side control! Rosario has hold of McCarthy's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! McCarthy tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Rosario cranks the arm and McCarthy screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from McCarthy, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
